2025 Scholarship Awardees:
Dean Hamilton Burwash from Dallas - Forestry Program at Oregon State University
Miranda Kajikawa from Eugene - Fishery Sciences at Idaho State University
Cecilia Gonenne from Eugene - Fire Studies Program at California Polytechnic State University
SICC Scholarships are open to graduating seniors, in Oregon Secondary Education (Public or Private), that are pursuing a program in Forestry, Natural Resources, OR Related Fields. This may be at a community college, university, specialty school, or other similar programs.
Examples include, but are not limited to: Forestry, Silviculture, Wood Sciences and Engineering, Hydraulic Mechanic/Technician, Conservation, Heavy Equipment Operator, Fish and Wildlife Sciences, Wild-land Fire, Etc. If you can make a solid connection between the program and sustainable production of natural resources, we will consider your application! Preference will go to applicants that have a history of, or make a compelling case for, active Forest Management.
$5,000 each Scholarship
Application Open February 1st, 2026.
Application Closes May 15th, 2026
SICC Work Studies are for new, young, or inexperienced hires age 18-25 beginning a Forest related trades careers for the first time. Preference is given to young adults without support structures
$2,500 per Work Study
